The bill for this couple’s wedding was almost $8 million.

#2 Vanisha Mittal and Amit Bhatia

In 2005, the cost for this first runner-up wedding was $60 million, or $66 million when adjusted due to inflation today.

The bride is the daughter of the billionaire steel-magnate, Lakshmi Mittal and the groom is an i-banker who is the owner of Swordfish Investments.

What the thing that made this wedding unique is the invitations for the guests mailed in silver boxes. They afford to did this because Lakshmi Mittal is the owner of the world’s largest steel making company  which is ArcelorMittal.

And the winner goes to:

#1 Prince Charles and Lady Diana

The overall cost of this most expensive wedding in history was $48 million in 1981, or $110 million when adjusted to the inflation today.

The bride was a gorgeous pre-school teacher and then became a global icon.

The groom was the oldest son of Queen Elizabeth II at that time.

The wedding  was held at St Paul’s Cathedral and the they had  27 wedding cakes five-foot-tall main cake that took about 14 weeks to make them.

They manage to make their wedding recorded in history because of their wealth.
But for us, most of us can't afford to prepare such a huge wedding ceremony like these.

Money is not important, but what the most important thing in a marriage is the love and trust.
